Hello Gents,

I did a demo for a customer and was asked if we can copy and paste with pattern. Does anyone know how this can be done? If not, we may want to think about added it to a future Modus update. I have used it with other software in the past and it is very helpful.

Rob, to my knowledge there is no easy way to do a 'Paste with Pattern'. You can do similar measurements using Hi-Level commands but I think it would only be worth it if you had a very high number of features to pattern. I agree it would be nice to have an option like this available eventually but I would first like to see a simpler editing process.

Gents,

There is a fuinction called Pattern and Place in PC-DMIS.  This grabs a set of commands and pastes them according to a rotational (or similar) pattern.  Prime example is a PCD.

The only way to do this in Modus is, as Scott says, to use the high-level commands long-hand.

Good luck.
Ryan
